Just wondering as I do this - are we supposed to be acknowledging who's videos and slides we are embedding - or is it enough that people can link back to the slideshare and youtube sites? This part of it all feels a little grey to me?
I've concluded that it is often enough to link back - particularly if it's a link to a blog post, otherwise whatever you wrote would be nothing but footnotes....
...however....it is good practice to put a link in the text to the original work as many RSS readers (like google reader) do not display some embedded items. Slideshare items, for example, don't display...so it you have a link then people can follow it from their aggregators.
Librarian, have travelled a lot and have friends all over the world, grew up in Margaret River but love cities - would love to be able to split my time between London and Fremantle
